Hydrovisions, Inc. is a California corporation founded in 2002 by John Slattebo of Oceanside California and Dave Higgins of Kamuela, Hawaii.

Hydrovisions, Inc. is the owner of rights under patent applications filed in the United States and a number of foreign countries covering aspects of the company’s Raptor designs.

 

Mr. Slattebo, Hydrovisions’ President and Chief Executive Officer and its lead designer, is a multi-engine and seaplane rated commercial pilot who lived for many years in the Republic of the Marshall Islands where he served as Chief Pilot and later General Manager of the Airline of the Marshall Islands.

He is an experienced sailor who participated in the US Olympic Trials in the Soling class in 1972 and later in numerous offshore ocean races on a variety of boats as both an amateur and a professional.

 

Mr. Higgins, Hydrovisions Vice President, is a Harvard educated attorney with extensive experience in small boat sailing, ocean racing, and competitive paddling and rowing. He won the US national championships twice in four and eight oared racing shells and was 1967 Pan American Games gold medallist and 1968 Olympic Games finalist in the eight. As a Hawaii resident, he has paddled competitively in the Hawaiian six man outrigger canoe and trains in an OC-1 (Hawaiian one-man outrigger canoe).
